30 years of building systems that didn't exist yet — from compliance pipelines in the 1990s to agentic AI workflows and physics-driven XR experiences today. I understand systems from silicon to user experience, and I leave every environment meaningfully better than I found it.
Real-time WebXR simulation of a lunar flyby trajectory using Newtonian N-body orbital mechanics, complete with real atmospheric re-entry and landing physics. The Moon, Earth, and spacecraft interact through genuine gravitational physics — not scripted animation. Built for seamless cross-media deployment spanning desktop, mobile, and immersive XR. A highly accessible experience that makes the visceral scale of space available to everyone, regardless of their hardware capabilities.

Creator of immersive documentary and interactive experiences featured at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), Tacoma Film Festival, and KremFest Music Festival.
'Maiden Flight' Balloon Ride: “One of the most powerful experiences in the [SIFF] VR-Zone isn’t a film but a piece of whimsical semi-interactive entertainment” — The Seattle Times. Also featured on Evening Magazine for our custom physical balloon basket buildout, it is currently being packaged for public Meta Quest distribution.
High Desert Eclipse: A 4K 360° VR documentary capturing a total solar eclipse. Watch the Moon's shadow transform an entire scenic horizon from day into twilight as sunrise and sunset happen simultaneously. The full immersive experience is available on the Meta Quest store.
Engineered and operated a live immersive XR installation space. Long before commercial VR arcades were common, the VRMakerDome brought room-scale virtual reality directly to public festivals as well as large and small private events.
Providing dedicated VR technical support across these diverse environments ultimately led to directing the entire XR exhibition for KremFest. Scaling up to full festival operations required solving complex on-the-ground challenges: coordinating fleet hardware deployment, managing curation and submissions, handling robust local network logistics, and performing real-time troubleshooting under pressure.
Built custom web-scraping and agentic data retrieval tools to automate USPTO federal trademark database queries for a leading IP law firm — reducing project timelines by 50% while maintaining strict legal compliance.
Solo architect and operator for Y2K compliance across 1,500 medical staff at Fred Hutch Cancer Center. Built the full data pipeline from scratch — ETL, reporting, external manufacturer outreach, and weekly executive-level status reporting. Access/VBA + web scraping, 1999.
Orchestrated a $75k hardware acquisition for $10k through strategic sourcing. Deployed 50+ high-performance workstations simultaneously across multiple sites — hardware selection, imaging, configuration, and network backbone for production Unreal Engine pipelines.
Grew up managing complex store operations, remote water systems, and power infrastructure for a Cascade Mountain resort. The instinct to understand how everything connects — and fix what doesn't — has never been optional. It's just how I'm wired.
Built web-scraping pipelines and automated data retrieval systems before the vocabulary existed for it. Designed multi-source ETL systems with Access and VBA. Reached outside organizational walls to retrieve external data, track it, and close loops — at scale, solo, under deadline. The tools have changed dramatically since then. The instinct hasn't moved an inch.
Bootstrapped and operated a community-funded ISP serving a 70-slip marina for over a decade. 99.9% uptime. On-call, solo, sustained. Built the infrastructure when no one else would, and kept it running through every failure mode imaginable.
Founding member of the Seattle Makerbot Users Group (SMUGr) and early evangelist for the RepRap open-source 3D printing movement. Also engineered the VRMakerDome, an early public XR space bringing room-scale virtual reality hardware to public festivals. Always in the first wave of tools that feel like magic before they become obvious.
Technical director and lead developer at UpLiftVR Studios. Exhibited work at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), Tacoma Film Festival, and KremFest, with features in The Seattle Times and Evening Magazine. Currently integrating generative AI into narrative film pipelines — building agentic workflows for automated asset generation and immersive storytelling.
Rebuilt an oceanic-ready sailboat from bare hull to custom-engineered marine systems — a full-lifecycle reconstruction requiring systems thinking across mechanical, electrical, structural, and navigation domains simultaneously. Extreme resilience. Total ownership. No one else's problem to solve.

Open to the right employment opportunities, full-stack development, and XR contract work.
I architect and build from my home base and generally avoid travel—though I'm always willing to make an exception for the right project (like an invite to deploy a live immersive experience to the Las Vegas Sphere complex). Whether you need a seasoned systems operations engineer or a creative technologist, reach out on LinkedIn to discuss your next big swing.
